What the app does today
This page lists what is built and shipping. Nothing here is a plan: the release notes record when each item arrived, the documentation describes the exact behaviour, and the system requirements say what the app needs.
Recording time
Entries with everything the invoice needs
Date, start and end or duration, project, activity, work location, a customer-facing description and an internal comment that is never inherited or exported. Work and private time side by side.
Lifecycle and compliance status
Draft, submitted, approved, converted. Only drafts are editable; converted entries are locked for good. A second status flags missing, unclear or misleading descriptions.
Week grid and timesheet
An Outlook-style week grid to drag entries into place, with a pinned project so a drag records directly, and a projects-by-weekday timesheet with expandable activity rows and totals.
Planning calendar
Planned and requested entries in a week or day grid, drag to create, move and resize. Realise a plan into an actual entry with one action; plan against actual variance on the reports page.
Timer with a safe stop
A round control in the navigation: take a break, get back to work, park a session and resume onto the same entry later. Stopping offers Resume, Continue later, Discard or Save.
Daily task list and reminders
Under-target days, missing descriptions, unsubmitted drafts and break shortfalls per day. Reminders at the times you choose; on Android they fire even when the app is closed.
Requests you can answer
Tentative meetings imported from your calendar arrive as requests. Accept turns them into plans, decline keeps them declined on every later import.
Month calendar and table
A month grid with per-day totals and click-to-add, and a table of all entries with filters and date ranges.
Entry details for learning and leisure
Optional details per entry, such as a course, book, film or series with title and chapter, for students and private logging. Off unless you switch it on.
Billable conversion
A separate billable table
Approved entries are converted into billable rows grouped per day, project and person. The source entries are never changed; a conversion can be undone while the row is still open.
Rules you can defend
Round to the nearest, up or down at 15, 30 or 60 minutes, half day or full day. Daily caps and floors such as a minimum charge. Automatic break deduction after a set number of hours.
Rule sets and billing profiles
Rules apply globally, per project, per person or through a billing profile per customer. The most specific wins, and every rule set carries a validity period.
Nothing billed twice
Exported rows are locked and recorded in an export batch. Unlocking is explicit and audited.
Descriptions that follow the rules
Billable descriptions inherit from the entries by default, can be rewritten by hand, and can be backfilled retrospectively when inheritance is switched back on.
CSV out
Time entries, billable rows and the audit trail export to CSV in the number and date formats you configured.
Assisted tracking
Every source is opt-in, off by default, read on your device and staged in an inbox. Nothing becomes an entry until you accept it.
Calendars
Outlook through Microsoft Graph and Google Calendar through their standard sign-in, several calendars per account; Proton Calendar and any other ICS feed or file.
Teams and documents
Your own Microsoft Teams chat activity as timestamps per chat and day, and recently opened Office and other documents by name and time, never by content.
Browser history
Chrome, Edge, Brave and Vivaldi history grouped into browsing sessions per site. A per-domain privacy list masks or excludes sites before anything is shown.
Active applications on Windows
Foreground application and window title, idle detection, a break button that pauses capture. Fragments pool by app or project into one draft with a minimum bucket.
Phone usage on Android
Daily app usage from Android's own usage statistics after you grant Usage access, imported into the same inbox by the daily scheduler.
Mapping rules and pooling windows
Rules map titles, apps or domains to projects and activities; pooling windows split sessions at gaps, at defined breaks, per clock hour or per day.
Work calendars, compliance and reporting
Work calendars, versioned
Weekly hours, daily targets with breaks, or shift profiles in the style of Dynamics 365 Time and Attendance. Each calendar has a validity period, so a contract change is a new version, not a rewrite.
Swiss Labour Act break check
Days over five and a half, seven or nine hours are checked for the required break and flagged in the task list. Public holidays for Zürich, including half days, are seeded.
Flex balance
Actual against expected hours per day and week, carried forward, shown on the tasks page and in the weekly fill-up chart.
Charts that answer questions
Daily bars split into billable and non-billable with a target line, hours per project, a weekly fill-up toward the target, plan against actual, and a drill-down per day.
Travelling
Trips with renamable types, legs on a multi-day timeline with planned against actual times, worked minutes that become time entries, travel budgets, requests and approvals.
Audit trail
Field-level history of every create, change, delete and restore, with actor and timestamp. Deleted entries are restorable; a purge leaves a full snapshot behind.
Setup, structure and integrations
People, projects, activities
Several people on one installation with a profile switch, projects with customers and billable defaults, activities as flat lists or a tree.
Work structure import
Projects and activities from Odoo, from odoo-wbs, or from any system through one JSON format with hierarchy, order and dependencies. Re-imports match on the source id and never duplicate.
Odoo connector
Approved actual entries pushed to the timely.you Odoo module, once each, with project mapping and your own API key. How it works.
Organisation defaults, personal overrides
Administrators set defaults in App Settings; each person can override what the administrator allows, and clearing an override returns to the current default.
Show only what you use
Tracking, travelling, planning and billing can be hidden per person. A short walkthrough shows hidden sections as hints until you dismiss them.
Updates and backups
Windows updates itself on launch and once a day; Android checks for a new build and opens the download. Before any database migration a snapshot is kept, five deep.
